From the exciting and no doubt spectacular opening ceremony on the 27th of July until the closing ceremony on the 12th August, the 2012 Olympic Games are taking place in London, England, this will be the third time the Games have been held in London as they were also there in 1908 and in 1948. The relay of the golden Olympic torch starts at Land’s End, Cornwall on the 19th of May and will travel through 1,018 places around the UK as anticipation for the games builds. On its final day it will travel down the River Thames to Olympic Park for the opening ceremony on the 27th of July 2012.
145 nations have at the least one athlete qualified as of the date of January 12th 2012. The Summer Games programme has 29 sports and 39 disciplines. The organisers try to out-do the previous Games and this year will be no exception.
There are 21 days left before its coming while waiting for this great event in 2012.
